History
The Huntsville Chapter of IFMA (formerly North Alabama Chapter) was incorporated as a chapter in October 1989 with approximately 20 members. Bill Clark, Director of Facilities at Universal Data Systems, was our first President. Doyle Robertson, General Supply Strategist with the US Army Strategic Defense Command, was our first Vice President. Bob Barnes, Facilities Manager for McDonnell Douglas, was our first Secretary/Treasurer.
Over the years, our chapter has continued to grow and gain many Professional and Associate members who have played a huge part in making our chapter what it is today. We are currently averaging 150+/- members. Our chapter conducts informative meetings or tours of local facilities the third Thursday of each month from 11:30 - 1:00 with lunch included. We'd love to have you join us at one of these meetings to see what we are all about.
